Programs

A Supportive, Empathetic Haven for Grieving Children and Families

We offer peer support groups and programming for people of all ages who are navigating the aftermath of losing a loved one. Our groups are always peer-centered, encouraging and inspiring participants to work together to foster hope, resilience, and a healthy path forward.

Our programs are scheduled to allow families to attend at the same time, giving each person a chance to get support from their peers while promoting the family journey through grief.

Each of our age groups has a dedicated room in our center, ensuring an environment that is appropriate and specifically-designed for those who will spend time there. Our hope is that everyone feels they’ve found a 2nd home at WNY Compassion Connection, and friends to help you navigate each step.

Community Outreach

A critical part of our mission is to offer community outreach and grief training to schools, groups, workplaces or other organizations. Grief is not limited to immediate family members. Our grief and bereavement trainings offer guidance, support and education in the wake of loss.
